Doors


There are many types of doors used in many parts of the world. Examples of different kinds of doors are trapdoor, blast-proof doors, garden doors, sliding glass door (also called patio doors or  arcadia doors), pet door (also called a cat flap or dog door, half door (also called as Dutch door or stable door), saloon doors,  batwing doors, blind door (also called as Gibb door),  barn door, French door (also known as French window), louvered door, composite door,  flush door, Masonite, molded door (also called interior doors), ledge and brace door, tambour door, automatic doors, inward opening doors, rebated doors, wicket door, bi-fold door, Australian doors, false door, self-bolting door, panel doors (also known as rail and stile doors), sledged and braced doors, and frame and filled doors etc. The design and making of doors reflects cultural and social trends of such societies. Doors are composed of a number of different components such as lintel (also called header), jambs, sill, doorstop, architrave, doorknob, door-handle etc. Structure and design of doors and windows including many other building structures can be also customized according to the need and requirements of the users. Doors are always available in a huge variety of styles.
